Yumm! Werewolf fingers never looked so good! These very creepy Werewolf Claw Fingers are so cool looking but very simple to make. It is a chocolate shortbread cookies with cashews, frosting and chocolate sprinkles. Here is how you make it.
Chocolate Shortbread Cookie Dough Ingredients: -1 cup of softened butter -3/4 cup of powdered sugar -2 cups of flour -3 tbs of unsweetened cocoa powder -1 pinch of salt Decorations: -Whole cashews(I used honey roasted) -Chocolate frosting -Chocolate sprinkles Directions: In a bowl mix the butter and sugar. Next add the flour, cocoa and pinch of salt. Combine well and roll the dough into a flatted ball and place in plastic wrap to chill in the fridge for an hour. Take a small ball of dough and begin to make it into a finger shape. To create the knuckles pinch each end of the dough to make a small ball in the center. With a knife draw lines on two spaces of the finger to create the knuckles. Next firmly place a whole cashew into the dough at the tip of the "finger." Place on a baking sheet and bake at 50 degrees for about 15 minutes. Once the cookies are complete cool you can begin decorating with the frosting and sprinkles. Spread a small amount of chocolate frosting on the knuckles of the finger and cover with chocolate sprinkles to create the furry fingers. Enjoy! This yummy ghost pizza idea is great for Halloween especially if you are throwing a Halloween party. 👻 It is very simple to make and of course absolutely delicious!
Ingredients: -Refrigerated pizza dough from a can -2 cups of ricotta cheese -1 tbs of minced garlic -fresh parsley -Pinch of salt and pepper -1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese -Black olives Directions: In a bowl mix the ricotta, garlic, salt, pepper and just a small handful of chopped parsley. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray a sheet pan with cooking spray and place the pizza dough on the pan. Begin stretching the dough out until thin and even. With a knife cut the dough into the shape of a ghost. If you wish you can save the scraps of dough and make some garlic knots. Spread the ricotta mixture onto the pizza(be sure to not go all the way to the edge). Then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 10-1 minutes until the dough is golden brown. Take 1 whole black olive and cut in half length wise to make the 2 eyes then use another whole olive for the mouth. Enjoy! Happy Halloween! I am a HUGE fan of the Halloween film Hocus Pocus. To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the film I decided to make the iconic Spell Book seen in the film into a cake! You will see so many versions of this on the internet but I swear mine is the easiest. No fondant required! You will need: -2 rectangle 13X9 baked chocolate cake -Chocolate frosting -White frosting -Black frosting -Black and white candy melts -Gummy eyeball(Purchased mine from Walmart) Directions: Stack the cooled baked rectangle chocolate cake on a board/tray with chocolate frosting in between the layers. Then frost the entire cake with chocolate frosting. Put some white frosting in a pipette bag and frost lines on 3 sides of the cake to be the pages of the Spell Book. Now it is time to start decorating and making the embellishments. Melt the white and black candy melts according to the directions. Then place into a pipette bag and pipe a long snake shape and some small coiled snake shapes like how you see on the book onto some wax paper and allow to firm. I also did the metal latch/buckle you see around the eye. I used the image below as reference when I made my cake. Make some gray frosting(mix the white and the black) and pipe a long rectangle on the front side of the book. Then place your long snake you made out of candy melts on top of that. Place the gummy eyeball on the other side and place your round candy melt buckle piece around that. Then on opposite ends of the eyeball place your candy melt snake embellishments. Next pipe lines with the black frosting of where the stitch work is on the spell book. Mix some of the chocolate and white frosting to create a light brown color and draw small lines as stitches over the black lines you drew. With just some frosting and creativity you can easily make a Hocus Pocus Spell Book Cake at home! Enjoy and Happy Halloween!! This is a super simple Halloween recipe idea that is perfect for parties. 🎃
To make the Frankenstein Guacamole Dip you will only need: -Guacamole dip (mine was store bought) -Sour cream -Black refried beans -Black olives -Blue corn tortilla chips. Start by placing the guacamole on a tray and shape into a square. Then place some sour cream in a sandwich bag and cut off the tip. Pipe two circle for the eyes. Then slice a black olive for the pupils of the eyes. Next take two whole black olives and place on each side as the "bolts" of Frankenstein. Then take your refried black beans and pipe it out of a sandwich bag to make the nose, mouth and stitches. Lastly, place the blue corn tortilla chips on top as the "hair". Enjoy!

You will need:
-red apples -white melting chocolate -green food coloring -a tbs or so of vegetable shortening Directions: In a microwave safe bowl, pour in your white melting chocolate. Melt by following the directions on the back of the package. Then add a few drops of green food coloring. For a nice bright green use neon green food coloring. When you add liquid to the melting chocolate you will notice the consistency changes. Add a tbs or so of shortening and microwave a few seconds more until you have a smooth consistency. When the chocolate is slightly cool. place in a sandwich bag and cut off the tip. Then begin piping the chocolate onto the apple. First do an outline for the nose and eyes. (similar in shape to a skeleton's nose and eyes). Then begin to add the drips and you can fill in and smooth with a toothpick. I just covered the front portion of the apple. You don't have to cover the whole thing. Poison apple anyone? Happy Halloween! ![]() Did you know Vampires love cupcakes? Well of course they do! Make these cool Vampire Bite Cupcakes!
You will need: -Vanilla cupcakes topped with white icing -Toothpick -candy blood -Plastic vampire teeth Directions: Simply make two bite marks into your vanilla cupcake with a toothpick. Then using a spoon, pour your candy blood into the holes and have it drip down the side of the cupcake. Then I took plastic vampire teeth and cut it in half. Then I inserted it on the top. Yummm! I love root beer floats! This is a great Halloween spin to my favorite Diner beverage and a sweet treat great for the kiddos!
Ingredients: -vanilla cream -strawberry soda -strawberry syrup -whipped cream -candy blood(optional) Directions: Drizzle some strawberry syrup on the inside of a glass. Put in a few scoops of vanilla ice cream. Pour some strawberry soda and top with whipped cream! To make it extra bloody, drizzle some candy blood. Garnish with a straw and vampire teeth. It is sinfully good! I love the brain molds found at the local dollar store. You can typically use the mold to make a jello brain but I don't really care for jello. I wanted to make something much more savory instead. I came across this recipe for a brain dip and it came out delicious!
Mushroom Soup Cream Cheese Brain Dip Ingredients: -1 (10 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup -1 (8oz) pkg of cream cheese softned -1 envelope of unflavored gelatin dissolved in 1/4 cup of water -1 bunch of green onions chopped -1 cup of mayo -1 tbs of hot sauce Directions: In a medium sauce pan heat the mushroom soup and stir in the cream cheese. Once mixed well, remove from heat. Stir in the gelatin. In a separate bowl, combine the soup mixture, green onions, mayo and hot sauce. Spray cooking spray on the brain mold and pour in dip mixture. Cover and chill in the fridge until firm for several hours. When you are ready to serve place the mold in a bowl with hot water to make removal from mold easier. Enjoy with some bread or crackers! I have always wanted to make sugar skull cookies but I figured it would be challenging. I found a way to do easily and it is a great activity for kids. Ingredients: -5 cups of flour -2 tsp of baking powder -1 tsp of salt -1 1/2 cups of softened butter -2 cups of sugar -1 tsp of vanilla extract -4 eggs Royal Icing -2 egg whites -1 cup of powdered sugar -1/2 tsp of cream of tartar You will also need gel food coloring for decorating. Directions: Cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Then add the eggs and vanilla. Continue to mix. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and slowly add to the wet mixture. Once mixed well make the dough into a ball and wrap with plastic wrap and place in the fridge overnight or for 6 hours. Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees. Take the dough out of the fridge to soften. Then flour your surface and rolling pin and begin to roll out the dough. Use a skull cookie cutter to cut into skull shapes. Place cookies onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Combine the ingredients of the royal icing in a bowl. once the cookies are cool. dip the front of the cookie into the icing and place on a wire rack to dry and harden. Once the icing is hard go ahead and decorate the skulls with gel food coloring. I have shared this once before on my blog but it is such a fun Sugar skull idea that I have to share it again. The dollar store sells plastic skulls that can easily be made into sugar skulls. You can spray paint them or paint with acrylic paint. You can also add glitter, jewels and accessories. this is a very inexpensive and fun craft idea.
