I love red velvet! On a cold winter night this red velvet hot chocolate recipe really hits the spot.
Ingredients: -1 cup of milk -1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips -1 1/2 tsp of red food coloring -1 tsp of vanilla Directions: Pour the milk and chocolate chips in a ceramic mug/cup and place in the microwave for 2 minutes(stir after a minute). Then take out of the microwave and add the vanilla and food coloring. Mix well. Then top with cool whip and chocolate chips. With the new year comes a new years resolution to loose a few pounds and get healthy. I know I always splurge on my favorite guilty pleasures during the Holidays( I won't say no to my Mom's famous lasagna) but I am now ready to get back on track.
I have heard of the Apple Cider Vinegar Detox drink before but I have never tried it. There are several benefits to consuming apple cider vinegar which include: -Weight loss. Experts believe the vinegar may stimulate genes that help breakdown fat.It can also suppress appetite. -Keeps blood sugar levels in check. Can help with diabetes and blood sugar regulation. -Protects your heart. -Aids in digestion. -Balances PH levels and more. So I decided to give this detox a whirl to kick start a healthy and balanced diet. Ingredients: -12 ounces of water -4 tbsp apple cider vinegar -1 tsp of cinnamon -4 tbsp of lemon juice -1 pinch of cayenne pepper -4 tbsp of honey Mix together and add some ice. The verdict, it doesn't taste bad. I actually enjoyed it! |
