Making heart shaped donuts for Valentine's Day is actually super simple. ❤ This is a fun and easy recipe that the kids can help make.
-Heart shaped cookie cutter
-1 can of Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layer Biscuits
-Vegetable oil for frying
-1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
-4 tbs of milk
- 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Decorating you can use pink food coloring and some Valentine's Day sprinkles.
Open the can of biscuit dough and roll each piece with a rolling pin. Then cut out the heart shape with the cookie cutter. I was able to make over a dozen with one can. Pour about an inch or two of vegetable oil to a pot. Once the oil is hot drop each donut into the oil and fry for a minute or so until golden brown flipping half way through. Allow the donuts to cool completely.
In a bowl mix the icing ingredients. For different colors, pour some of the icing into separate bowls and add food coloring. I did pink and white icing. Dip your donuts into the icing and sprinkle with some festive sprinkles.
Enjoy and Happy Valentine's Day!! 💕
It is finally pumpkin Spice Season!! 😃I have been really into Dunkin's new donuts fries and I thought why not make some pumpkin spice donut fries? This recipe is so incredibly easy and calls for very minimal ingredients.
-1 can of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
-2-3 tbs of sugar
-1 tbs of Pumpkin Pie Spice
Role out the biscuits slightly and cut into 4 strips like french fries.
Pour about one inch of vegetable oil into a pot and set on medium high heat. Place the strips of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown(it will fry very quickly). Then place onto a paper towel on a plate.
Mix the pumpkin pie spice and sugar in a bowl and then roll your donut fries into the sugar mixture.
Now you have super tasty donut fries that have a hint of pumpkin spice! Easy and delicious!🎃
