Yumm! Werewolf fingers never looked so good! These very creepy Werewolf Claw Fingers are so cool looking but very simple to make. It is a chocolate shortbread cookies with cashews, frosting and chocolate sprinkles. Here is how you make it.
Chocolate Shortbread Cookie Dough Ingredients: -1 cup of softened butter -3/4 cup of powdered sugar -2 cups of flour -3 tbs of unsweetened cocoa powder -1 pinch of salt Decorations: -Whole cashews(I used honey roasted) -Chocolate frosting -Chocolate sprinkles Directions: In a bowl mix the butter and sugar. Next add the flour, cocoa and pinch of salt. Combine well and roll the dough into a flatted ball and place in plastic wrap to chill in the fridge for an hour. Take a small ball of dough and begin to make it into a finger shape. To create the knuckles pinch each end of the dough to make a small ball in the center. With a knife draw lines on two spaces of the finger to create the knuckles. Next firmly place a whole cashew into the dough at the tip of the "finger." Place on a baking sheet and bake at 50 degrees for about 15 minutes. Once the cookies are complete cool you can begin decorating with the frosting and sprinkles. Spread a small amount of chocolate frosting on the knuckles of the finger and cover with chocolate sprinkles to create the furry fingers. Enjoy!

This was so fun and very easy to make. It is a great Valentin'es day treat that you can make with kids or for your sweetheart! All you will need is a heart shaped pan(I got mine from Walmart), frosting, red gel icing and some refrigerated cookie dough.
I used refrigerated sugar cookie dough but you can use whatever you like. I added some flour to my sugar cookie dough to make it easier to work with. I also lined my heart shaped pan with parchment paper cut into the shape of a heart. Place the dough evenly into the pan and make sure you fill it to the shape of the heart. Then I let it just chill in the fridge for a bit. Next bake it in the oven according to the instructions on the back of your cookie dough. In my case, I baked it at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Let it cool completely before removing from the pan. Beginning icing your cookie with some frosting. I used store bought pink strawberry frosting for mine. Then write your message with red gel icing. Happy Valentine's Day! Gingerbread Man cookies are my favorite Christmas cookie! I decided to make a GIANT version of this Christmas cookie classic.
This recipe yields about 3 Giant Gingerbread Man cookies. You can double the recipe to make more. I always look forward to making butter cookies for Christmas! My co-workers really enjoy it. This recipe is super simple to make.
Ingredients: 2 cups of flour 1/2 tsp of baking powder 1/4 tsp of salt 1 1/2 sticks of butter softened 1 cup of sugar 1 large egg 1 tsp of vanilla Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Then cream the butter, sugar, egg and add to the flour mixture. Then add the vanilla. Scoop the dough into a tablespoon round ball on a baking sheet. My trick is with the bottom of a wine glass, dip into sugar then flattened the tablespoon of dough on the baking sheet. Makes the cookies have a nice circle shape and a sugar topping. Bake for 10 minutes. These cookies are so soft and delicious!
What you need: -1 stick and 1/2 of butter softened -3/4 cup of sugar -1 egg -2 teaspoons of vanilla extract -2 1/2 cups of flour -1/2 tsp of baking powder -Halloween cookie cutters Royal Icing -3 cups of Confectioners Sugar -1/4 tsp of cream of tartar -2 egg whites Directions for the cookies: In a large bowl mix the softened butter, egg, sugar and vanilla until nice and smooth. Mix the flour and baking powder in a separate medium bowl and then add to the butter mixture ( add a little bit of the flour at a time). Once the dough is mixed well divide the dough in two equal parts. Roll out on parchment paper and refrigerate for at least an hour or up to 1 day(You MUST do this step). Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray. Remove the dough, roll out(I placed the dough in between parchment paper and then rolled) and cut out your Halloween cookie cutter shapes and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. 8 minutes seemed to be perfect! Royal icing is great because it hardens. Beat the egg whites and slowly mix in the confectioners sugar and cream of tartar. Once cookies are cool decorate with icing and sprinkles. Enjoy! |
