Are you looking for something easy to bring to a 4th of July BBQ? Well I got you covered! Nobody likes to turn on the oven in the summer so this is a super easy no bake dessert idea for your 4th of July festivities. Ingredients: -2 loaves of pound cake cubed -1 can of strawberry topping -1 8 oz container of whipped cream cheese -1 tub of Cool Whip thawed -sliced strawberries -blueberries Directions: Place the cubed pound cake on the bottom of a casserole dish as the bottom layer of the cake. Next spread the strawberry topping. Combine the cream cheese and cool whip together then spread that as the top and final layer of the cake. Lastly, apply the blueberries and the strawberries on the top of the cake to decorate it as the American flag. Super easy and delicious! Happy 4th of July! June is Pride month which is an annual celebration of the LGBT community. If you are bursting with Gay pride or just love all the beautiful colors of the rainbow, you will enjoy these Rainbow Waffles for breakfast!
You will need: -Pancake/waffle batter -Food coloring for the different colors of the rainbow -sandwich bags Directions: Follow the instructions according to the box of your pancake/waffle mix. You will want to make sure the batter isn't too runny. So don't add too much water. Once you make the batter separate the batter into different bowls and then add food coloring to make the different colors of the rainbow. I just did red, yellow, green and blue. Then place each batch of colored batter into a sandwich bag and cut the tip. Spray some cooking spray on you hot waffle maker and you can begin making your Rainbow Waffles. Begin by pouring a circle of the blue batter in the center of the waffle maker. Then pour the green around the edges of the blue, followed by the yellow with the red batter being the outer ring of the waffle. Once cooked, enjoy with some fluffy "clouds" of whipped cream. Enjoy and Happy Pride Month! June is National Camping Month! I really love to go camping with my family. It is always a good time filled with laughs, eating junk food and of course roasting marshmallows over an open fire. Here is how to make campfire cupcakes! You will need: -Chocolate cupcakes -Green frosting -yellow and orange starburst candy -thin pretzel sticks -toothpick -mini marshmallows Directions: Frost the cupcake with the green frosting to form the "grass." Then take your yellow and orange starburst and roll it together (you can microwave for like 3 seconds to make it more pliable). This will be the "fire" and just simply tear pieces of it and create the fire in the center. Next create a Teepee with 3 pretzel sticks around the fire. Lastly, put two mini marshmallows on a toothpick and with a lighter you can roasted them slightly and then add it to the cupcake as a final touch. Happy camping! |
