Making your own Old Fashioned Lemonade is very easy to do and is absolutely refreshing on a beautiful sunny day.
You will need: -6 lemons(should make about 1 cup of lemon juice) -1 cup of sugar -6 cups of cold water Directions: In a small bowl squeeze out the lemon juice(If any seeds fall into the bowl just pour the juice through a strainer). Next, add the juice to a pitcher and pour in the 6 cups of cold water. Lastly, stir in 1 cup of sugar. Then pour into a glass and top with some ice. It is refreshing and delicious.

Here is an adorable treat perfect for Spring or a ladybug themed party. I just love it and it was so simple to make. To make these cute Ladybug Pretzels you will need:
Ingredients: -pretzels -red melting chocolate -black melting chocolate -candy eyeballs Directions: Melt the red melting chocolate. Dip the entire pretzel in the red chocolate and lay on wax paper. Once the pretzels are dry, melt the black melting chocolate and then dip just the bottom of the pretzel into the black chocolate(this will be the ladybug head). While it is still wet apply the candy eyes. Lastly, melt some more black chocolate and put in a squeeze bottle and squeeze some dots of black chocolate on the "wings" of the ladybug pretzels. Allow to dry and enjoy! Happy Earth Day! Make these fun Earth cookies with the kids for the occasion.
You will need: Sugar mix (I cheated and got a mix from the store or you can make your own) Green Food Coloring Blue Food Coloring Directions: Preheat the oven according to the directions on the sugar cookie packaging. Make the sugar cookie dough and divide the dough in half and separate into two separate bowls. Knead in the green food coloring to one ball of dough and the blue food coloring to the other. Next grab a small ball of green dough and a small ball of blue dough. Combine the two pieces of dough by rolling into a ball. Next place on a cookie sheet and gently press to flatten. Bake according to instructions and enjoy! It is Spring and the sun is shinning and the flowers are blooming. I came across this adorable recipe idea perfect for Spring.
Flower Pot Cupcake Cones! Ingredients: -24 cones -1 box of chocolate cake batter -chocolate frosting -Chocolate cookies or Oreos, crushed -24 edible sugar flowers (I used Sunflowers that I found at Walmart) -Vanilla frosting dyed with green food coloring (green leaves) Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place the cones in the cups of a muffin tin. Follow the directions of the cake batter and pour into cones. You will want to only fill it slightly just before the inner rim. If you pour too much it will overfill during baking (learned that the heard way). Bake for 20-25 minutes, it is done when you insert a toothpick and it comes out clean. Let it cool completely and begin frosting with the chocolate frosting. Then top with the crushed chocolate cookies. Next I dyed some white frosting green and piped out of a sandwich bag to create green leaves. Then I placed the edible sugar sunflower in the center on top. Enjoy! Happy Spring! |
