I love decorating fake pumpkins. I wanted to try something new and fun for Thanksgiving that can be used every year. Here is how you can make a Chalkboard Pumpkin! You will need: -a large fake pumpkin -White and gold acrylic paint (or whatever colors you want) -Gold glitter -Glue -Chalkboard spray paint(got mine for under $5 at Walmart) -Masking tape First I painted my pumpkin white and painted the stem and some fake leaves gold. Allow to dry. Then section off a square on the front of the pumpkin with the masking tape and cover the rest of the pumpkin with some paper so that you don't get any of the chalkboard paint on other areas.
Then spray the area you sectioned off with the chalkboard spray paint and allow to dry. It actually dries very quickly. Remove the tape and paper. I then glued on some glitter around the edges as well as on the stem. I also glued the gold leaves I painted on the top with a hot glue gun. Then write whatever message you want with some chalk. A fun and easy craft for your Thanksgiving decor!

The pumpkin with the masking paper and canopy the remainder of the pumpkin with some paper in order that you do not get any of the chalkboard paint on other areas. Then spray the world you sectioned off with the chalkboard paint and permit to dry. It actually dries very quickly. Remove the tape and paper. I then glued on some glitter round the edges also as on the stem. I also glued the gold leaves I painted on the highest with a hot glue gun.
